Trade Talk

February 20, 2013

Trade deadline is closer than ever! Time to take a look which GM has been on the phone these past few days and what trade scenarios are unfolding.

Garnett

The Eric Bledsoe & DeAndre Jordan for Garnett talks are dead. Communication between the teams has ended and Clippers management will only pursue a trade if they get the green light from their franchise player Chris Paul.

Nuggets

The Nuggets have rejected a trade offer from the Minnesota Timberwolves that would sent Timofey Mozgov to the Wolves for Brandon Roy and a 1st round pick. So, only a first round pick and a contract.

Gordon

The Golden State Warriors have shown great interest in shooting guard Eric Gordon. In search of a potential deal, the Hornets would like to get Klay Thompson in return. Trade talks have not died down on this subject.

Bobcats

It’s no secret the Bobcats are trying to trade Ben Gordon, but they’re trying to trade up-and-coming shooting guard Gerald Henderson too. Charlotte asks a first-rounder in return.

Raptors

After they traded Jose Calderon to the Detroit Pistons, Toronto’s looking for some added depth at the point guard position. Rumors say they’re trying to get Sebastian Telfair who’s playing a solid season for the Phoenix Suns.

Josh Smith

The entire league is watching where Josh Smith will go. The latest rumors are that Phoenix is trying everything in their power to get the athletic forward. Also San Antonio and Utah have tried to put together a deal, but failed.

League-wide trend

There seems to be a league-wide trend that NBA teams are staying away from long term big money deals, because they’re scared of the luxury tax.

Exciting hours are ahead of us!

  3. Woah! I’m really enjoying the template/theme of this website.
It’s simple, yet effective. A lot of times it’s very hard to get that “perfect balance” between user friendliness and visual appeal.
I must say that you’ve done a very good job with this. Also, the blog loads extremely fast for me on Safari.
    Superb Blog!
